National Estimator Quick Start | Getting Started & Installation

System Requirements

National Estimator and Job Cost Wizard require:

• PC with 300 megahertz or higher Intel (or equivalent) processor recommended; 233 MHz minimum required.
• Operating Systems:
• Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000, or Windows XP.
• Requires up to 160 megabytes (MB) of hard disk space.
• Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher-resulution video adapter and monitor.
• CD-ROM or DVD drive.
• Keyboard and Mouse or compatible pointing device.

• DSL or Cable recommended; 56 kilobits per second (Kbps) or higher-speed modem minimum.
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 (or higher), Netscape 7.1, Firefox 1.0, or Mozilla 1.7 minimum.

• To listen to video tutorial - Sound card and speakers or headphones.

Installing National Estimator

CD Install
With Windows running, put the CD disk in your CD drive (such as D:). Installation should be an option after the video ends. If not:

1. Click on Start
2. Click on Control Panel
3. Double-click on Add or Remove Programs
4. Click on 'CD or Floppy'
5. Click on Next
6. Click on D:\Setup
7. Click on Finish

Download Install
With Windows running, locate the downloaded National Estimator setup.exe file and double-click to start the install.

For Either Install
Follow the instructions on the screen. We recommend accepting the installation defaults. When installation is complete, click on Finish. National Estimator will begin automatically.

Uninstalling National Estimator

Click on Start, Control Panel. Double-click on Add or Remove Programs. Then click on the name of the program to remove and Remove.
