1st Quarter:

• Quality class cost table adjustments made in sections for Machinery and Equipment Sheds, Detached Garages in Single Family Residence structures and (finished) Attached garages in Single Family Residence structures.
• Software fix allowing Ecclesiastic Building structures to add Heating and Cooling Systems.
• Software fix to Basement costs for School Buildings and Government Buildings.
• Software fix to remedy a 100% depreciation value if the majority of the quality class selections are minimum quality.

2nd Quarter:

• Quarterly costs updated.
• In the Security & Fire category, fields for Fire Sprinklers now accommodate square footage values for the largest structures.
• Software fix to allow Wood Frame Government Offices, Elementary and Secondary Schools to add a 2nd story.
• All commercial structure types containing yard improvements had the pole height measurements corrected from inches to feet.

If you installed from a download:

1. Click on the Login link at the top of the page.
2. Provide the email address and password that you used to create the account when you made the purchase. Contact tech support for assistance if necessary.
3. Click the Login button.
4. Once logged in, click on the Download tab at the upper right portion of the page.
5. Click on the white/blue 'Download' button for the 2009 National Building Cost Estimator.
6. Click on the white/blue 'Download Now' button.
7. Click on the Run or Save button. If you select 'Save', take note where the download file is being saved, proceed to step 8. If you select 'Run' the installation will automatically begin at the end of the download. Skip step 8 and go to step 9.
8. If you selected 'Save' find the downloaded file and double click on it. Click next through the installation.
9. If you selected 'Run' click next through the installation. Then click finish.

If you installed from a CD:
If you installed the 2009 National Building Cost Estimator from a CD included with the book '2009 National Building Cost Manual' or the backup CD offered with the purchase of the 2009 National Building Cost Estimator Download: (These steps will not apply if you installed from an internet download. See the steps 1-9 discussed above.)

1. Click here to download the file.
2. Click the Save or the Run button. If you select 'Save' make note where the download file is being saved, proceed to step 3. If you select 'Run' the installation will automatically begin at the end of the download. Skip step 3 and go to step 4.
3. If you selected 'Save' find the downloaded file and double click on it. Click next through the installation. Then click finish.
4. If you selected 'Run' click next through the installation. Then click finish.
