Are You a Construction Expert?

Craftsman Book Company, a major publisher of manuals and estimating references for the construction industry, is looking for experienced construction professionals willing to share their knowledge with other professionals in the industry.

All publishing and printing costs are covered by Craftsman. It costs the author nothing but his or her time and knowledge. Substantial royalties are paid on every book sold, and sales can continue for many years.

If you are interested, contact Laurence Jacobs, Editorial Manager, at 800-829-8123 ext. 304, download a free copy of Author's Guide to Getting Published (74Kb, the download is a small PDF file, requires Adobe Acrobat to open) and to discuss your ideas and the potential rewards.

Books should be loaded with step-by-step instructions, illustrations, charts, reference data, diagrams, forms, pictures, samples, cost estimates, rules of thumb, manhour estimates and examples that show how work should be done on the construction site or that solve actual problems in the builder's office. The book must cover the subject completely, become the owner's primary reference on the subject, and have a high utility-to-cost ratio. This list is by no means complete, and is subject to changing trends in the marketplace.

Any reference manual that will help construction tradespersons, builders, remodelers, construction estimators or adjusters make a better living in their profession is a good candidate for publication by Craftsman Book Company. Books on the following subjects would sell well to Craftsman customers:
